'A' DEPORTED PRINCESS.
RETURNS BY AEROPLANE. TT 9 J 1 charge of being found in the United Kingdom after having been deported by order of the Secretary of State Florence Gngoneff, described as a professor of music, appeared at Bow Street Police Court recently. The accused, who claims to be the wife of i odor, Prince Grigorieff, a landowner in «ie Ukraine, is stated to have returned to J&ngland by aeroplane. According to the police evidence, she was convicted in September last, at the Westminster Police Court, for failing to register as an alien, and was sentenced to six weeks' imprsonment in the second division. She was then served with a -oeptvtation order, and on her release went to Paris. *«*»«>e PoUce-constable Wright stated that he saw the defendant on an omnibus in the Strand, and arrested her on alighting When he told her that he had reason to believe that she had been deported, she replied: ' You have made a mistake " At Bow Street she was asked how she returned to this country, and replied By aeroplane," adding that she came I a ere to sign two contracts. The defendant elected to be tried by a jury and an application for bail was refused.
