THE WHAU BRIDGE.
The attitude of the Waitemata County Council in regard to the Whau Bridge was placed before the county solicitor, Mr. R. McVeagh, yesterday, by a sub-committee appointed for the purpose. Mr. McVeagh will represent the council at the forthcoming sittings of the reconstituted Whau Bridge Commission. The Waitemata County Council's policy would provide for a new bridge at least 40ft. wide, constructed of permanent material, control being vested in the New Lynn Town Board.
