H.M.S. Veronica, is to go into dock this morning for cleaning and p*ainting. The Pakeha is due at Tokomaru Bay from Port Chalmers to-day. She then goes on to Gisborne to complete loading and is timed to sail from the latter port on September 6 for London via Australia. Heather Roberton. Ltd., have • received advice that the Regulus is expected to arrive at Onehunga from Picton early next month. She will load at Onehunga for Nelson and the usual West Coast portsThe Arahura arrived from the East Coast early yesterday and berthed at the Queen's Wharf. She was delayed on the coast by 6trong head winds. Her departure for Gisborne and Napier has been fixed for 5 p.m. to-day.

The Kauri, which discharged a cargo of phosphates from Nauru Island, is expected to leave port to-day for a destination 'not yet announced.

The Wingatui's departure for Bluff. Oamaru and Timaru has been fixed for 5 p.m. to-morrow

The Flora arrived at Papeete at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and sailed at 5 p.m. on Thursday for Auckland, via ports. The Kanna left Lyttelton at S p.m. on Saturday for Picton. She was expected to leave the latter port last night for Auckland. , The Katoa, en route from Southern ports, left Lyttelton at 5 p.m. on Saturday. She was expected to leave Wellington last night for Auckland direct.

The Marama arrived at Wellington from Sydney at 11 a.m. yesterday with 117 saloon and 13 steerage passengers for New Zealand, bnte is to sail at 3 • p.m. to-day for San Francisco, via ports.

The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Spinner is due at Melbourne to-morrow from Montreal, and is due at Auckland on September 15. From Auckland ehe will go to Wellington and Lyttelton, sailing from the 10-tte-r port for New York on September

RIMUTAKA SAILS EARLIER. The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Riinutaka, which wate tfc> leave Wellington on September 17 for Southampton, is now announced to sail on September

THE MAHENO. The Maheno arrived from Sydney at 11 a.m. yesterday, and berthed at Queen's Wharf. She brought 125 saloon and 85 steerage passengers. The cargo she brought consists of 1560 cases tea, 5837 cases fruit. 3065 pieces timber, 162 poles, 236 sleepers, 443 sacks of peanuts. 329 sacks of rice> 879 sacks of asphalt 135 cases of matches, and 300 drums of disinfectant. The trip down from Sydney was made under fine weather conditions. She is timed to sail on her return trip at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

THE CORNWALL. The Federal steamer Cornwall should put in an appearance from New York early. She left that port for New Zealand on July 31, and on her last trip to Auckland she took onl> 23 dayß from Panama. Her general cargo is for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin. and Australian ports.

NORTHERN COMPANY'S STEAMERS. The. Ngatiawa, which was delayed last week in the Bay of Plenty by rough weather, is due here at noon to-day. She is timed to sail for Opotiki at 3 p.m. to-morrow. The Tuhoe has been delayed by weather in the Bay of Plenty, and is not due here from Whakatane until to-morrow. She is to sail for Whakatane again on Thursday. Che Kawau, on her next trip, sails at 6.30 p.m. to-morrow for Mangawai. She will call at Kawau *and Leigh with passengers j.f required. The Elsie is to load cargo for Big Omaha, Leigh, and Kawau on Thursday.

MALAITA DIVERTED. The Australian steamer Malaita. which discharged a cargo of guano at tho Central Wharf and sailed at an early hour on Saturday for Hokianga. arrived off the bar there at 7 a.m. cm Sunday, and was signalled to proceed to Westport.
