Sir John S almond left for Wellington last evening by the Main Trunk express >Mr. J. W. Macdor.ald. Public Trustee is in Auckland on departmental business! Mr. W. J. Hope, postmaster at Porsngahau for the past seven vears, has been transferred to Palmerston North. Mr. G. H. Russell, health officer for th» Wairarapa district, will leave Orey?o \vn shortly on transfer to Greymouth. Sir Donald McGavin, of Medical Services, and Dr. T H. \ \alintine, Director-General of Health, loft for Rotorua yesterday morning. Mr. W. Copeland Trimble, Fell ow of the British Institute of Journalists, and editor of the Impartial Reporter. Enniskill'en Ulster, will arrive a: Auckland bv tfc ft Maheno on Mondsy. He intends visitine Rotorua before leaving for Canada on his way home. Mr. Trimble's tour was originally planned that he inijrht attend ;V :g World's Press Congress at Sydney, which has since been postponed.
