ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.
ONE BOARD FOR ISTHMUS, FORMATION SEEMS ASSURED LOCAL BODIES' AGREEMENT. A conference of local bodies was held in the Chamber of Commerce last evening, to discuss matters in connection wivh the supply of electricity for the Auckland isthmus. The Mayor of Onehniiffa, Mr. J. Park. chairman of the EdeuMamikau Electrification CommiU-ee, prosided. After the conference Mr. Park stated that a unanimous agreement, to which the City Council wis a party, had been I reached. Th e det-ails of the agreement! had to be submitted to the Mini ter foa Public Works, the Hon. J. G. Coatea, with whom necotiauons had be-en carried on since last December, before any public statement could bd made- " All I can say at present," added Mr. Park. *' is that a single power board for the Auckland u-throus, extending as far south as Papakura, now seems to b* assured."
