Mr. Esam is the only son of the late Mr. C. G. Esam, solicitor, formerly of Marton, »i ■whose office he was for a long period prior to joining the service. Mr. Efam was for a number of years connected with the State Advances Office, but for th<s past four years has been in the legal division of the Public Trust Office dealing specially with ♦ mortgage work and local body loans work.
