NIAGARA'S NEW RECORD

SHORT STAY AT VANCOUVER. IN PORT ONLY 40 HOURS. Australian and N.Z Cable Association (Reed. 5.5 p.m.) VANCOUVER, May 7. The steamer Niagara, which arrived here on Thursday, sailed for Auckland, via ports, at 1 p.m. to-day. This constitutes a record, as she was in port only 40 hours.

At the beginning of April the Makura was at Vancouver only 66 hours, thus beating the company's existing discharging and loading record.
