AMERICA AND JAPAN.
INVITATION TO CROWN PRINCE A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON, April 12.
In reply to the President's recent invitation to the Crown Prince of Japan that ho should visit the United States, the Emperor wrote a letter, expressing Japan's goodwill and friendship toward the United Stater,. The invitation to the Crown Prince was declined,' apparently because the illness of the Emperor made the absence of the 'Crown Prince undesirable.
