FAEMEBS' UNION TRIBUTE.

APPRECIATION OF HIS WORK. The impending visit of the Prime Minister, Mr. W. F. Massey, to Britain, was referred to at the monthly meeting r,{ the provincial executive of the Fanners' Union yesterday. Mr. L. H., "McAlpine moved—" That the executive express pleasure at the fact that Mr. Massey is to attend the Imperial Conference, and records its appreciation of what he has done for th» farming community in the past; also that it extend to him its best wishes for a. pleasant trip, which it is hoped will prove beneficial to the whole Dominion. " . The motion was seconded by Mr. C. K. Wilson, and carried unanimously. The chairman, Mr. C. A. Ross, was appointed to represent the executive at the "At Home" to be tendered to Mr Massy to-morrow by ithe Mayor and Mayoress.

A Mayoral "At Home" to the Prime Minister and Mrs. Massey will be held to-morrow evening, on the eve of their departure for Britain.
