POSITION IN AUCKLAND. Inquiry was made at the Aticklanc? branch of the Repatriation Department yesteday in respec-t to the statement in Wellington by Mr. G. Mitchell, M.P., that he had received a telegram from 19 Auckland men who had been unable to get employment after trying all th« official agencies. The information -s-aa given that about 60 names -were on the list of men seeking -work, the number having been about that figure for some time. Of the names now on the list only three or four were there for the first time. All the others had been found employment by the Department on one or more occasions. Mr. Mitchell's information "was misleading.
