RETURNED SOLDIERS.
THE PAEROA BRANCH.
[BY TELEGRAPH. — OWJT CORRESPONDENT.] PAEROA, Saturday.
At the annual general meeting of the Paeroa Returned Soldiers' Association, held last night. Major A. Tattersall presiding, the following motion was carried unanimously: "That Hauraki and Waihi and Te Aroha branches be asked to join "Paeroa branch, and that as Paeroa was the centre for the Hauraki Regiment, area should be widened and that Tauranga, Rotorua, and all in the Hauraki district be asked to join." The election of officers resulted as follows :—President. Mr. E. Edwards; vice-presidents, Messrs.* G. Dean and E. Porritt, jun. ; committee, Messrs. G. Hampton, H. J. Wilton, E, Shaw, H. Hampton, R. H. Catton, S. J. Bishop, C. Kenny, J. Treanor, "I. McMillan, G. Lowe, W. J. Byrne J Briggs, A. Bush, H. Silcock, G. Hart, Major Tatteraall.. Mr. R. Hodson waa unanimously reelected secretary; hon treasurer. Mr. E. W. Porritt, and Mr. Bnges hon. auditor. The report and balI ance-sheet were adopted.
