NEGLECTED HOBSON BAY.
Sir j —ls there ever to be a school within easy reach of the numerous young children residing on th« lower spurs of Hobson Bay? At present these scholars cannot reach a school -without a long toilsome tramp and the necessity, of crossing a tram line. The writer approached the hoard on the subject -some time ago, and was encouraged to hope that a side school, at any rate, -would he possible. A petition was forwarded to the board, bearing ihe signatures of parents having children of school age, but too young to travel to the main school. This petition has recently been received, but beyond being acknowledged, has had no effect. I hope "Mr. Parr has not quite'forgotten Hobson Bay, and ■will note this in his estimate. Edwin Mossman.
