ORDER OF RECHABITES.
The district council of the Independent Order of Rechabitea, New Zealand disNo. 84, met in the Foresters' Hall, Devonport,, yesterday. The proceedings were opened by D.C.R. Brother T. W. Marshall. The Mayor of Devonport, Mr. H. S. W. King, addressed the council, expressing his appreciation of the great principle for which the Older stood. He was pleased to note the financial strength of the Order and, especially, the large membership in the juvenile suction Brother Marshall replied. The D.C.R. briefly sketched the work ot.the.ast two years. There had been a Bfea-t increase of members in the juvenile ® ect !° rl ' Jargely due to the energy of Brother W. Gilliam. It w»3 reported that the membership lor the terra had increased by 15. Of the members who served in the war, 29 had made the supreme sacrifice. The dis at the end of 1920 were / a £ lncrea£e of £2755 on those of 1918. The interest earned in 1919 was £1565, and that in 1920 £1598. otalling £3193.
