REAL SPEED.

The third race meeting to be held under the auspices of the Auckland Provincial Motor-cycle Club is to be held on Saturday next on Takapuna, Racecourse. Over 140 entries have been received for the eight events, some races having 26 competitors. An invitation is being extended to. any rider to attempt to lower the world's fastest time for, one mile on a grass track—49 3-ss.—established by P. Coleman on the same track last year. Ample provision is being made to accommodate 25,000 spectators, and a good ferry and 'bus service to and from the course has been arranged. Given a fine day, the meeting on March 12 promises to outshine anything ever held in th* North.—(Advt,.)
