WOOL SOLD TO POLAND.
o, PAYMENT IN FIVE-YEAR BONDS. [jteom: our own correspondent.] Dec. 2<. It has been known for some time that the Government was arranging for the sale of some of the Australian and New Zealand wool to Poland. It is now announced that 35,000 bales -will be disposed of at a cost of £1,150,000. "We believe that both jcountriea will benefit," is the opinion of an official of the Polish Consulate. " You have surplus stocks, and we are in need of the ■■wool-foe-• our mills at Lodz, which is~the Man-%-Chester of Poland. Our people need wann woollen dothing and the employees c$ the mills need work. " The deal has been made in connection with the relief credits.
