Tho British India Steam Navigation Company's steamer 'ranges, which arrived from Calcutta, via Singapore and Newcastle, on Wednesday, berthed at the Queen's Wharf yesterday morning. It is expected she will sail for Suva on Tuesday to pick up coolies for Calcutta. The Cana > Highlander left Vancouver on January ~4 for Sydney. Melbourne. Wellington, and '-ickland. She is due here about February 12. The Piaranga expected to leave Sydney for Newcastle on Wednesday to load coal for Wellington. She is to leave' Newcastle on February 2. and after discharging her cargo at Wellington will proceed South for Homeward loading. Tho steamer will sail from Wellington [or London, via Panama, on February 26. THE TAHITI. The Tahiti arrived at Wellington from San Francisco at 4 p.m. yesterday. She will leave Wellington on the return voya.gs on February 3. THE TREGLISSON. The New Zealand Shipping Company has been advised that the steamer Treglisson left Panama laat Saturday for Auckland. No information as to her original port of departure or as to the cargo she is bringing haa been received. The vessel is due here about February 12. TOFUA FROM SYDNEY. The Union Steam Ship Company's steamer Tofua arrived at Auokland at 6.35 a.m. yesterday morning and berthed at the King's "STharf The Tofua is the first passenger steamer belonging to the company to reach Auckland from Sydney since early in De(jsmber, the Niagara, Makura, and Maheno being detained et that norfc owing to the stewards' strike.
