FISHERMEN DEFER STRIKE.
TIME NOT YET OPPORTUNE. A mid N.Z. LONDON, Jan. 26. It is now stated that the Grimsby fishermen have decided not to give notice of a strike. Yesterday it was reported that they had decided to come out as a protrst against the reduction of their w » t ?s by 40 per cent. It was also feared that the dispute would affect the principal fishing ports of England and Scotland,, but it is now stated that no other centres will be concerned. The Grimsby fishermen have decided to choose a time most calculated to inconvenience the trawler owners when they can be prevented from taking steps to minimise tne effects of a strike.
