SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP. WELLINGTON" MAN WINS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Thursday The Dominion bowling tournament • wa3 concluded to-day, when the final of the singles championship was played. S&iller ■ (Sydenham) defeated Jury (Karangahake) by 20 points to 6 in the semi-final and in the afternoon met <J. M. Brackenridge (Newtown). Brackenridge won by 23 points to 15 on the 20th head. Brackcnudgo took the lead early and on the fifth head led nine to one. Spiller then improved his drawing and on the ninth h<-ad tiie scores Were: Brackenridge 10, Spiiler b. Thereafter although the various heads were closely contested Brackenridge maintained his lead. Spiller scored two at "each of the fourteenth End fifteenth, heads, bringing the scores to 16—13, but • Brackenridge added seven points to his total to Spider's two before the 20th head, when the game ended. \At the conclusion of tho play the prises won in the various sections were presented to the successful competitors by Mr. Bush, president of the Dominion Association.
