BACON PRICES FALL.
COMPLAINTS BY FARMERS. [BT TCELEGRAFH. —PRESS ASSOCX&HOH.J WELLINGTON, M<yaday. There has been a rapid fall lately in ths prices offered by carers for bacon pigs. Farmers who formerly sold their baconers at lid per lb. are now asked to accept 6d. There appears to be no definite explanation of the sudden change in the market. The farmers in many districts are complaining of the position, particularly as they state that there has not been a commensurate reduction in the retail price of bacon. The announcement of a fall of 3d per pound in baconers was recently made as stated above. There has now been s further fall in 6d per lb.
