The council decided to ask the Northern 1 Steamship, Company to collect wharfage | charges oji goods landed at the Tairua | Wharf. As the Hauraki Plains County 1 Council had agreed to the basis of j liability in connection with the erection i or the bridge across the Waihou River at j Purin it was decided to take the neces- | sary steps under the Public Works Act Ito obtain an authority for raising the I required loan, so that the work could be | proceeded with as soon as possible. The | members of the council decided to visit I the Tairua and Whangamata districts durj ing the coming week with reference to ! the expenditure of a number of Governj ment grants. ! ' '
