NORTH SHORE ELECTRICITY.
ATTITUDE OF BIRKENHEAD. The recommendation of the Marina Boroughs' Association that steps be initiated for appointing an Electric Power Board for the Waitemata area was discussed by the Birkenhead Borough Council last evening. It'was decided to take no action. Discussion indicated that the council was not desirous of incurring any further delay in the joint scheme under consideration with Northcote ; whiiih was not proceeded with until all meats were exhausted to induce the other North Shore boroughs to combine for one comprehensive scheme. The Northcote Council intimated having endorsed the association's suggestions.
