AUSTRALIAN CRIMES.
WOMAN FOUND STRANGLED. NORTH SYDNEY MYSTERY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 11.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, Deo. 23. A woman who was a recent arrival in the country and had been living at North Sydney has been found strangled. She also has a wound at the back of the head. The police are searching for a man suspected of the crime. The name of the woman is supposed to be Gertie McGrath or Napier. DR. TOZER!S DEATH. SUICIDE THEORY REJECTED. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY, Dec. 24. There have not been any fresh developments in connection with "the shooting of Dr. Tozer, except that; the police are convinced that the shots were not fired by Dr. Tozer. Dr. Tozer, a -well-known Sydney cricketer, was found dead in the bedroom of Mrs. H. S. Mort, Lindfield, a suburb of Sydney, on Tuesday last. Mrs. Mort was shot in the left breast, and was subsequently found to be suffering from poison.
