A police patrol met a determined ambush at Templemore; County Tipperary. Ihe attackers awaited their opportunity or some days. They dug trenches across the roads, holding up all traffic. The patrol returned the fire, and two of the attackers fell. The patrol then searched ' ;° f r .. sus P* cts , were again fired upon. MihUry reinforcements arrived and chased <200 attackers over the mountains. Troops captured a. Sinn Fein arsenal in the Fer-noy district of County Cork. rhirty nfles. bombs, ammunition, and military equipment were seized. The Carmelite Monastery, i n Aungier Street, Uublm «-aa raided by troops, who discovered a revolver and ammunition in the public room. The Father Superior of the monastery suggests that a visitor left the revolver there. Considerable firing took place in Dublin streets under the cover of a fog. A proclamation issued in the area of Ireland under martiaJ law compels all householders from January 1 to affix on the inner side of the street doors a list of inmates, their ages, and other details. Mr. Lloyd George stated in the House of Commons that documents found on Sinn Fein leaders proving their complicity in a German plot in 1918 will be published in a few days.
