A police patrol met a determined ambush at Templemore; County Tipperary. Ihe attackers awaited their opportunity or some days. They dug trenches across the roads, holding up all traffic. The Father Superior of the monastery suggests that a visitor left the revolver there. Considerable firing took place in Dublin streets under the cover of a fog. A proclamation issued in the area of Ireland under martiaJ law compels all householders from January 1 to affix on the inner side of the street doors a list of inmates, their ages, and other details. Mr. Lloyd George stated in the House of Commons that documents found on Sinn Fein leaders proving their complicity in a German plot in 1918 will be published in a few days.
