MOTOR-CAR ACCIDENT.
COLLISION WITH A FENCE. CAUSED BY BOLTING HORSE. A motor-car, the property of Mr. W. Wintle, of St. Stephen's Avenue, Paroell, was considerably damaged through colliding with a fence in Lake Road, Takapuna, yesterday. It appears that a horze, belonging to Mr. T. G. Connor, of Rawhiti Avenue, which was tied by the bridle to a fence, took fright and bolted, dragging a portion of the fence with it. The animal galloped into Lake Road. Mr. Wmtle, accompanied by Mrs. Wintle and two children, was approaching in a motorcar at, the time, and had to swerve to the right to avoid a collision with the frightened horse, with the result that he Struck the fence at the roadside. The body of the car was considerably damaged, but the occupants escaped injury. Mrs. Wmtle, however, is suffering from shock.
