Estimates, totalling £559,000,0 CX), in one ! night. He asked for the appointment of- an i Estimates Committee. At least 40 days should be allocated to finance, he said, and i also next session should be devoted almost r entirely to finance and economy. Mr. Bonar Law, in a sympathetic reply, agreed that the general control of finance . was unsatisfactory. He thought Sir Donald | i Maclean's suggestion might be adopted.
