RESULT OF THE POLLING. 38 PER CENT. FOR NO-LICENSE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.10 p m.) LONDON, Dec. 22. The completion of local option polling in Scotland, which began in November, shows that a vote was taken in 572 areas out of the 1214 into which the country ■"'as divided. A total of 1,153,978 votes were registered. Sixty per cent, voted for no change, 38 per cent-, for no-license, and 2 per cent, for a reduction in the number of licenses. The net result is that 447 licenses, 99 of which are in Glasgow, will be cancelled out of 9371 in the whole country.
