ERNEST G. SKEATES.
JEWELLER AND WATCHMAKER,. IMPERL.\L BUILDINGS, 42, QUEEN STREET.
CLOSING DOWN SALE.
Ernest G. Skeates. the well-known jeweller, is offering his very high-grade Stock to the public this Christmas at greatly reduced prices, as he is, very reluctantly, closing down. Mr. Skeates,"' and his father before him, and previously Mr. F. H. Lewisson, whom the late Mr. \V. Skeates bought out many years ago, lias carried on a most successful jewellery business in Queen Street, for over 60 years, and i s now competed to retire from business because his lease has expired, and a renewal is unobtainable, on account of the building having been sold to Messrs. Phillipps and Impev, Ltd., who require immediate possession. Mr. Skeates has made every endeavour to obtain other suitable premises, but has failed.
This leaves only one course open, viz., to sacrifice the stock so as to effect ; a speedy clearance.
If in the meantime suitable premises become available, or when such a happening does take place, the Auckland public will see the very highly esteemed name of Skeates over another jewellery establishment. Buyers are reminded that the Skeates establishment keeps onlv goodclass jewellery, such as diamond engage-' ment and dress rings, dainty gold brooches, pretty necklets and pendants, real pearl necklets, pretty mid useful silver goods, opera and field glasses, various kinds of clocks, etc.. etc.
The goods are being sold at prices that they could not be purchased at from the British manufacturers.
Note the Address.—Ernest G. , Skeates, Jeweller, etc., Imperial Buildings, 42, Queen Street, Auckland, right opposite Smeetons.
