KALGOORLIE BY-ELECTION. RESULT STILL IN DOUBT. A. and N.Z. PERTH. Dec. 20. Mr. Foley is now ahead of Mr. H. Mahon in the Kalgoorlie bv-election by 397 votes. There are 2000 votes still to count. MINIMUM WAGE FOR ACTORS. SYDNEY. Dec. 20. In ail interim award, Mr. Justica Starke gives actors a minimum wage of £5 5s a week, cho-rus and ballet members £5, and females £4. MR. R. D. MEAGHER'S BILL. SYDNEY, Dec. 20. The Bill to reinstate Mr. K. D. Meagher o n the roll of solicitors, from which he wa s struck off 26 years ago, passed all its stages in the Legislative Council by 24 votes to 19.
