Three days later she will come on to Auckland to complete her loading, for New York, Boston, and London, sailing from Auckland- about December 22. , The Taniwha is to make a. special trip to Thames next Monday with cargo, leaving Auckland at midnight. The Albionstar sailed for the United Kingdom yesterday. The vessel loaded a. large cargo of frozen meat at Auckland, Whaka-* tane. and Whangarei. Her destination will not be known until she. reaches the English Channel. , .*- The Kanna is due at Auckland at 7 a.m. to-day from Lyttelton ■- and Wellington with general cargo. The Somerset left Dunedin yesterday for Melbourne. The Orari sailed for Wellington and Southern ports yesterday afternoon. Tho vessel dischared about 3000 tons of cargo at this, port from Liverpool and loaded the following cargo at Auckland for London: —49 bales- wool, 131 bales hemp, 638 packages kauri gum, 1193 sacks copra, 2299 cases glaxo, 70 cases honey. 41 cases rubber. 6 caaos skins. ' , The Dunedin-owned barque ' Antiope arrived at Delagoa Bay, Portuguese East Africa, on December 9 from the Baltic. The mission steamer Southern ' Cross arrived from the Melanesian Islands at 8.50 last evening and. anchored in the stream. . THE RIVERINA. * The Riverina left Sydney at • 6 p.m. 'on Thursday and is due at Auckland on Monday aiterncon. The vessel has 263 passengers and a large cargo. " THE APANUI. The Northern Steamship Company's Apanui, which grazed some object in the Karikari Channel during a fog on Wednesday, when, coming from Awanui, was placed on the slip late last evening, and will be inspected this morning. It is considered the damage .is very slight.

T The Waikouaiti (ex Ermgard) arrived at Newport News on December 6 from Liverpool en rout& to Now Zealand. The ; Wa'ikawa, from Vancouver apd San Francisco to Dunedin. and Australia, called at Papeete on Sunday morning and sailed again at 10 a.m. She is due Si Lyttelton. on December IS. ' It was reported in the South that the new federal steamer Cornwall was wrecked in. the severe gale that raged- .round the on December 4. This is apparently an error, for a cablegram from London, dated December 8, states that the Cornwall has sailed for Auckland. The cable message received by, the Herald stated that several wrecks occurred during a storm on the west and south coasts, including the steamers Ansigir and Hathor on the coast of Cornwall, and apparently the report in. the South was due to a misreading of the cablegram. Inquiries made at - the Auckland office of the New Zealand Shipping Company, _ and the fact that a cablegram was received from London announcing the departure of the Cornwall for Auckland about December 7 confirm this view. - THE COLLIERS. The Katoa is to leave Westport to-day for Auckland with a cargo of coal. She will be due here about Tuesday. * The Shahristan left for Newcastle yesterday to load cc-sl for New Zealand. The- Rakarson will • leaver, for Newcastle cm Monday to.load coal for the Dominion. The Kauri is to leave for Newcastle ou Tuesday to load coal for New Zealand. THE REMUERA'S CARGO.
