FIRE AT THAMES HOSPITAL.
DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT £250. [BY TELEGRAPH- OW3T""COKBESPO!TDEI<rr.] THAMES, Friday. A fire broke out at the Thames Hospital last night in the wash-house at the back of the. main buildings. It was first discovered by the porter and assistant cook, and the alarm was at once given. Prompt action was taken with the hospital fire equipment, which prevented the fire from gaining ground until the arrival of the-- 1 fire brigade, when the outbreak was speedily extinguished. The interior of the building and fittinss were damaged to the extent of about £250. °
