TENNIS IN AUSTRALIA.
CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES. A. and N.Z, MELBOURNE. Nov. 17. The tennis courts have rapidly recovered after the recent rain. The championship series have commenced, but in the bulk of the contests strong players have been drawn against weak. A feature of yesterday's play was the defat of Dr. Pockley by T. Strange, 5,,6—4, 86. Rice and Ollivier meet Roberts and Milligan, the Adelaide pair, to-day.
