COMPOSER'S PETITION.
DECREE NISI GRANTED. | A.;and N.Z. \ SYDNEY. Oct. 8. \ In the Divorce Court, Alfred Hill, the New Zealand composer, sought dissolution of his marriage on the ground of desertion. Petitioner stated that after his marriage he and his "wife went to New Zealand, and subsequently he returned to Sydney with his wife's consent. Since then for 10 years he bad been trying, to induce her to join him, but she had not done so. She had never actually refused to return*. Mrs. Hill gave evidence to the effect that her reason for- not joining him was his unsettled position in Sydney. She had never refused to retain, never had any intention of deserting him, and was willing to live with him. The Court found the desertion proved as from the three years prior to 1916, and granted a decree nisi, returnable in six months. .
