'»» The executive committee of the Agricultural and Pastoral Society met yesterday. The president, Mr. J. Massey, occupied the chair. A letter was received from the Minister for Railways stating that the request that a passenger car. should be attached to stock trams carrying exhibits to shows would receive careful consideration. . The offer of the Farmers' Freezing' Company to donate £50 as prize money in the dairy produce classes was accepted. It was stipulated that £25 should be allocated to the class for export butter and £25 to the export cheese class. - Mr W. Johnstone was appointed to represent the society on the Condemned Stock Fund Committee. The chief stewards for the various classes at the forthcoming shew were appointed.
