THEFT FROM MOTOR-CAR.
OFFENCE BY YOUNG LAD. The theft of a battery, armature, and automatic cut-out, valued at £6, from a motor-car, was admitted by a. 15-year-old b«>y, who appeared before Mr. J. W. r&ynton, S.M., in the Juvenile Offenders Court yesterday. It was stated that the boy had gone to tne rear of a shop in Karangahape Road and removed the articles from a car standing there. When taxed with the offence he said he wanted the articles to experiment with. The hoy had been before the magistrate last month, charged with theft. The probation officer said closer supervision was needed, and the boy should be placed in a probation home. The boy was convicted and ordered to come up for (sentence when called upon, and ordered to be placed in a Probation Home for six months.
