NEW FORESTERS' COURT.

OPENING AT ELLERSLIE.

A court of the Ancient Order of Foresters has been opened at Ellerslie. The opening meetisg was held in the parish hall on Wednesdav evening, and was attended by the district officers, presided over by the district chief ranger, Brother H. T. Hoverd. Twenty-six candidates were initiated as members. The name chosen for the new lodge was Court Pride of Ellerslie, No. 9387. Brother E. Darley was appointed chief ranger, with officers as follows : —Sub-chief ranger, Brother W. Ferguson ; senior woodward, Brother Black; junior woodward, Brother TuckeT; senior beadle, Brother Fussell; junior beadle, Brother Bevin ; secretary and .treasurer, Brother Wvide; trustees, Brothers Darlev Trebilcock and Temm. Meetings will "be held in the Public Library on alternate Wednesdays.
