OVERFEEDING A CAUSE. A. and N.Z. BERLIN, Oct. 6. Professor Schlossman, in an article in a medical journal, shows that the shortage of food! in Germany has not affected infant mortality. On the other hand, in Dusseldorf, infant mortality in 1919 . was only 10.6 per 1000, compared with the average of all Germany of 13.6 in 1916, 15.5. in 1917, and 15.4 "in 1918. Professor Schloss man says that the figures confirm the conviction that over-feeding is one of the chief causes of infant mortality.
