CASE AGAINST TRAMWAYMEN.
ADJOURNMENT. SINE DIE.
The action against the Auckland Tramways Union, brought by the inspector of awards in connection with the stoppage of the trains at the time of the jockeys' dispute last June, was mentioned before Mr. J. W. Poynton, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. Counsel for the prosecution, Mr. R. P. Hunt, applied for an adjournment, sine die, in view of the fact that Mr. J. J. Walklate, general manager of the tramways, had not yet recovered from his recent operation. Counsel for the union, he said, had agreed to this course. The magistrate adjourned the case sine die, seven days' notice to be given by either party.
