Wednesday. /'At a meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Association;- tile chairman (Mr. Wilson) strongly urged that- senior competitions should be confined to four clubs. He did not think more properly qualified teams would be raised in Wellington. « Other : speakers approved. One member contended that there were better men in the junior teams .than in the senior... What gave point to his remarks was that be represented a junior club -which caused- a sensation, flast season by the: unprecedented size.of some of its scores.' Teh', teams 'wished to' enter.; but ultimately.it was decided to restrict senior clubs to six, the same number as last year.
