Mayoy formerly a tether at tho Auckland Technical, who in April, 1918, was convicted and fined _£25 for publishing ■ a statement , indicating- disloyalty, was again dealt'with by the Education Board last evening, Mr. E.*ttl Banks presiding. The special committee, consisting of "D?. J. S. 'Reekie.and Messrs.. J. Boddie, J- 8; Bond; and H. S. 'W. King, appointed ' to, consider the case/- reported that, it wag satisfied the resolution passed, by the board on "April 24, 1918, "that. Six. "Mayo; be given » further chance and that fate,- services be retained,',* ' :, was .correct., and ought not-to have been rescinded, and -in the tee's opinion Mr-Mayo was fit to-be entrusted -with : 'a^ similar position to tbatformerly held' by himl,-at "the -Technical College.t .The adopting.the report Reamed-on" the "voices, Mrs- F.
