AUSTRALIAN BANK DRAFTS.

LONDON RESTRICTIONS.

A. and N.Z.

LONDON. Oct. 4.

Owing to delay in the process of Australia's exports reaching London, the Australian Press Association learns, considerable demand has fallen on the cash resources of Australian banks in London, which, as a precautionary measure, will not now 'negotiate drafts against shipments except for their own customers. _ .It is understood that thi? state of affairs is larrely due to the greatly-increased prices of commodities, which are in some cases thrice the pre-war values.
