GERMAN SHIPPING.
AMERICAN FEARS.
Australian and N.Z. CabU Association.
(Eecd. 12'.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 4. Opposing steamship companies allege that the recent agreement between the American Ship and Commerce Corporation and the Hamburg-American Line puts the United States under a serious disadvantage. They assert that the American vessels which are to be used to develop trade for German exporters will be forced out later when German vessels are built, and the Government-owned American ships may be forced to carry goods from Germany for a lower rate than goods from the United States.
