Rounding into the straight truanaco was well clear of his field and he negotiated the Strand double just clear of Oakieigh. after which came Crib. Coalition, Waimai and Master Strowan. At, Cutts' c-oalition took second place behind Guanaco, with Oakleigh and Crib next. When they came to the kennels double Guanaco was well clear of Oakleigh and Coalition and here Master Strowan ran off. Sailing along in great style Guanaco turned for home with a useful lead of* Oakieigh. Coalition. Crib, and Waimai. who were running in that order. At the last obstacle Coalition joined the leader and soon having his measure on the flat wpn by four lengths. Oakieigh was three lengths away, followed by Crib and Waimai. Time. 7m 29 2-.'is.
