«e»LABOUR WINS BY-ELECTION. Router. LONDON, Aug. 9. The by-election for the Southern Norfolk Eeat, rendered vacant by the sitting member, the Hon. W. H. Cozens-Hardy, succeeding to a, peerage, " resulted in the return of a Labour member. The voting was as follows : —> G. Edwards (Labour) . . . . 8594 Batty (Coalition Liberal) . . 6476 Roberts (Independent Liberal) 3718 The voting at the general election held in December, 1918, was :— Hon. W. H. Cozens-Hardy (Liberal) 11,755 G. Edwards (Labour) . . 6,536 The Hon. William Cozens-Hardy succeeded to the peerage on the death of his father, Baron Cozens-Hardy, formerly Master of the Rolls, and first holder of the title.
