Advices 'from Tangier state' that after several years of intermittent fighting and serious looses, the French authorities have secured the submission of powerful Zain tribesmen inhabiting the western slopes of the Lesser Atlas mountains. Great reconciliation fetes -were held, and the tribesmen restored captured trophies. The submission opens an important direct route from Fez to Marrakesh.
