MISS RHODA BROUGHTON. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Herd. 6.30 p.m.) LONDON. June 7. Miss Rhoda Broughton, the novelist, died yesterday. Miss Rhcda Broughton, whose novels enjoyed a great popularity a generation ago, was 80 years of age. She published her flirt novel, "Cometh Up As a Flower," in 1867, and her last novel, " Between Two Stools." in 1912. SIR CHARLES MATHEWS. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (R*cd. 7.5 ra.) ) LONDON. June 7. The death is announced of Sir Charles Mather?, Public Prosecutor. Sir Charles Mathews, who was 70 years of ace, had been Director of Public Prosecutions since 1908.
