Mr. A. H.' a director, of several companies in Meioourne, was a passenger by the Makura from Sydney yesterday. He is on his way to Vac", couver. •
Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, a member of the Auckland City Council and chairman of the Public Sen- co Committee of the council, returned from Sydney by the Makura.
Mr. Harold (rlowery. manager of the Farmers' Co-operitive Company at East Malvern, Victoria, arrived oy the JMaknr* last evening from Sydney. He is on his way to Vancouver.
Mr. W. Hogg, clerk to the One Tree Hill Road Board, has ocen granted three months' leave of absence. Mr. W. Thomas has been appointed to the position during that period.
