Advices from Beirout state that during the fighting whi,ch resulted in the French rcoccupation of Aintab, 70 miles north of Aleppo, a strong entrenched contingent • of Turkish regulars was routed and 1200 of the enemy were killed. Many prisoners and much war booty were captured.
