H. H. SHAW.

SHAW'S GARAGE, HAMILTON. Undoubtedly one of the most complete and representative car exhibits ever seen in jlamilton is that staged by Mr. H. H. Shaw, of Shaw's Oarage, at his usual location, just inside tho main show entrance, Collected hero will be found cars to suit all tastes and every requirement, from tho sturdy and economical little Maxwell, right up through four, and six-cylinder models to the big seven-passenger cars of tho Chandler and Hudson class. Though somewhat handicapped by the unavoidable exigencies' of space shortage thesp cars are most effectively displayed; the plain but well-appointed stand, relieved by touches of greenery, forming a harmonious background to the graceful lines and fine coach work of the whole exhibit. Tho Maxwell car exhibited is seen to particular advantago in its special finish of cream enamel body-work, heavy'nickelplated fittings, and khaki seat covers. The 1920 model of this car is everywhere putting lip a first-class performance, and its rising popularity is readily accounted for by even a casual inspection of this sample. Incidentally also this Maxwell reflect* very great credit upon the local car-painting specialist, Mr. E. S. Cross, who is responsible for the enamelling job. Tho Cleveland car produced by the fa- | nious Chandler Company has needed no j other introduction to the motoring public lof Now Zealand. This car is a particu- [ larly smooth-running and easy-riding " six "; remarkably powerful on the hills, and yet economical withall. The good old Buick is represented by its latest model which, however, needs 110 description here, its sales indeed being limited only bv the impossibility of the huge Buick factor: ?s ever overtaking the tremendous and world-wide demand for their product. The "Chandler car. with its justly famous " marvellous motor," is represented in tho latest wire-wheeled seven-passenger model. Car registration figures prove that there is no more popular seven-passenger car on the New Zealand market to day than the Chandler, and lite recent rond record established by Mr. Miller, of Auckland, by lifting the Chandler out of the class of claims into the class of fact? has effect'velv proved that this •popularity is justified. Tho last, because the highest priced of this comnrehensive catalogue, 'is the worldfamous Hudson super " six," represented here by a particularly attractive sporting mode!.'finished in a rich rpval bine. Hudson reputation in New Zealand has been built up by long and successful performance, under the very heaviest taxi service, and on -country mail routes, where continuous overloading is the accepted order of tilings. As soon as ever i factory production makes it possible there will undoubtedly be a very lartre increase in the number of these splendid cars on the roads of New Zealand. HI'RRELL AND CO. - LAND AND ESTATE AGENTS. Visitors to the Winter Show, who wish to combine business with pleasure, should make a point of calling upon Messrs. flurroll and Co., land and estate, agents, whose place of business in Victoria Street is just opposite Ward Street.
