SENSATION AT EUNCIMAN.
POSTMASTER "BAILED UP."
THIEF WITH REVOLVER.
MAKES ESCAPE ON BICYCLE.
A robbery under sensational circumstances is reported to have occurred at the post office at Runcjman, about 23 miles from Auckland, about six o'clock last evening. It is stated that a postal official, when about to enter the post office, was bailed up by a man armed with a revolver. The man, it is reported, seized a sum of money in the post office and then took possession of the postman's bicycle, on which he rode away. The matter was reported to Sergeant Cowan, police officer at Pukekohe, who organised a search in company with Constable Johnson, of Ptpakura.
No tidings of the missing man had been reported up till an early hour this morning.
