The Times correspondent at Warsaw, ] writii.g on the 30th, says that the Polish ; offensive against the Russians in Ukrainia is proceeding with great success. The Poles hav'd reached the junction of the rivers Dnieper and Pripet, and are less than 50 miles from Kieff. The cavalry have cronsed the River Tctreff, and their infantry 'S swinging along on the JitomirKieff road. Two "Red" divisions were cut off and surrounded by Poles and Ukrainians, acting in co-operation at Litin and Mohileff. (Received 9.30 p.m.) Heuter. LONDON. April 30. The Polish Government has officially recognised General Petlura's Government in Ukrainia, and has acknowledged the right of Ukrainia to independence. General Pileudki, President of Poland and Comman-der-in-Chief of the Polish Army, has issued a proclamation stating that Lis forces have entered Ukrainia to expel the Bolsheviks, and will remain until a Ukrainian Government has been established. Then they will withdraw. General Petlura has issued a proclam.v tion that a Polish-Ukrainian agreement has been established to fight their common enemy, Bolshevism, until it is defeated.
